The Technical Mastery Program is designed for competitive players aged U11–U19 in the greater Winston-Salem area.
Our goal is simple: to help your child improve in a meaningful, measurable way and to help you understand exactly how they’re developing.
As a natural progression to the supplemental training we provided through our Elite Training Program, the Technical Mastery Program is a fall/spring subscription based program designed for players who are looking for additional, higher-quality, training sessions during their club season. Through the implementation of the UEFA methodology, the sessions are aimed at addressing areas that many clubs under-develop, including; technique, scanning, timing, movement, positioning and deception.
Step by step each month your club will see you are more skilled, confident and able to perform at a higher level during training and in match.
The foundation of every strong player. Every session is built around the fundamentals; touch, movement, decision-making, and execution under pressure. We believe technical mastery is what separates good players from great ones, and we treat it as non-negotiable at every age group.
Led by UEFA-qualified coaches with international experience. Our coaches have worked at elite levels across Europe and the United States, bringing a standard of instruction that simply isn’t available in other local programs. What they’ve seen and coached at the highest levels, they bring directly to your player.
Training in a group doesn’t mean getting lost in one. Our sessions are structured so every player is seen, challenged, and developed as an individual, not just as part of a unit. Small-group work and focused observation mean no player goes unnoticed.
Every session is designed with purpose. Every player is coached with intention. Nothing in our program happens by accident. Each session has a clear objective tied to the broader development plan, and every coaching intervention is deliberate. Your player’s time on the pitch means something.
Clear communication with players is essential to mastery. During sessions, we clearly communicate with individual players what is expected of them, including how to achieve it and why it is important.
This allows us to give your child more personalized attention, even within a team environment.
When a player is struggling to perform the required skills, we will pull them aside, review the skill, return them to the session, in which we will closely monitor their progress until they have mastered the tecnique.
Clear communication with players families. Parents are partners in development, not passengers. We communicate openly throughout the program so families always know where their player stands, what’s improving, and what needs work.
Periodicaly through the program, you and your child will receive:
• A clear summary of their development
• Strengths and areas for improvement
• Specific recommendations for continued growth
This gives you real insight into where your child stands and what comes next.
Salem City FC competes in the USL system, the proven gateway to professional soccer in America, and the league that has launched more professional careers than any other pre-professional competition in the country. The USL pathway runs directly from where your player trains, all the way to the USL Championship and beyond, with scouts, coaches, and clubs at every level of that system paying attention. The U12 to U14 years are the foundation everything else is built on. This is the age where players absorb technical skills fastest, develop their relationship with the ball, and begin to understand the game at a deeper level. The habits formed in these years, good or bad, follow a player for the rest of their career.
The years between U15 and U17 are the most critical development window in a player's journey. This is where technical habits are hardened, physical attributes are built, and the tactical understanding that separates good players from elite ones begins to take shape. The work done in these years does not just prepare a player for the next season; it determines who they are at U18 and beyond.
U18 is where potential becomes a decision. College programs, academy scouts, and professional clubs are watching at this level, and the window to make an impression is narrower than it has ever been. Salem City FC exists for exactly this moment, giving U18 players the elite environment, qualified coaching, and honest development feedback they need to make the most of the time they have left to define their future.
